My wild thing

Hello bloggers,

For literacy we have been reading the book Where the Wild things are by Maurice Sendak.

As part of our Writing we wrote descriptions about a wild thing.Miss Percy showed us a picture of a Wild things and we had to pick one wild thing to describe where the wild things Are-written by Maurice Sendak.

Our goal was to use descriptive nouns and verbs and vary our sentence beginnings. Here is my writing.

The wild things is fat like a lion and harry like a fluffy cat.It also has some sharp pointy horns. His feet is a very light colour and it also has some human feet. On the face my wild thing looks like a balderdash and he has no tail.On his nose it looks like a banana and the colour is the same as a banana. But my wild thing is swinging on the topiary like a monkey

  1. Kia ora Mercia,

I really like how you have used some interesting words like balderdash and topiary. My favourite line is the last one in your description. Just remember to make sure you read your work before you publish it onto your blog. I spot a few mistakes! :)
